Position: Drive Unit Chief Design Engineer Report to: Escalator R&D Manager, China & Asia R&D Job Location: Kunshan OVERALL OBJECTIVE - Ensure product technology design, quality, competitiveness and schedule in the defined projects. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Take the responsibility of design for drive unit (gear box, sprocket, main drive shaft…) - Make static and dynamic analysis and calculation, instruct and monitor the reliability testing for different types of drive unit. - Audit supplier manufacturing process and support QA and supplier to improve the quality. - Global both in company and with development partners. REQUIREMENTS: - B. Sc or M. Sc in Engineering or related field. - Min 3 years of relevant design work experience. - Has independent work experience - Active knowledge sharer. - Company project development matrix, company subcontracting process, company partnering process. SKILL / PROFICIENCY: - Good oral and written communication skills. - Mandarin and English languages both verbally and in writing - Communication skills, leadership skills, negotiation skills - Understanding of concurrent engineering process, product creation matrix, project management tools and practises.
